Overview: Real sails power this ship,
however the sails are only used when the winds are
favourable, typically 15% of the time. The sails are
computer controlled to give a smooth ride. Windstar
ships offer an intimate cruise, with cabins that feel
nautical.
Suitable for: Adult couples and
singles, who want a different experience to the large
cruise liners. There is a marina that can be deployed at
the back of the ship, which is fully equipped with
watersports gear.
Cuisine. There is a pleasant restaurant,
with open seating. There is also an alternative Bistro.
Spa facilities: There is a spa offering
quality treatments, though small it is quite adequate
for the number of passengers on board. There is also a
gym.
Entertainment: There is no showlounge or
shows. People choose Windstar cruises for the sailing and
the atmosphere of the wind and the waves.
