Overview: Real sails power this ship, however the sails are only used when the winds are favourable, typically 15% of the time. The sails are computer controlled to give a smooth ride. Windstar ships offer an intimate cruise, with cabins that feel nautical.

Suitable for:  Adult couples and singles, who want a different experience to the large cruise liners. Sporty types who enjoy water sports.

Cuisine. The dining room is elegant with ocean views. The food is good, and meals are often casual on the open deck. 

Spa facilities: There is a spa offering quality treatments, though small it is quite adequate for the number of passengers on board. There is also a small gym. 

Entertainment: There is no show lounge, or shows. People choose Windstar cruises for the sailing and the atmosphere of the wind and the waves.
