Overview: The QE2 is an ocean liner, rather
than a cruise ship, so it does not have the balcony
cabins of cruise ships. The design of the ship reflects
the 1960s build, and has more confined space with
corridors and wood paneling, giving a very traditional
feel.
Suitable for: Over 50's and 60's who
like an international feel.
Cuisine. Dining facilities depend on the
grade of accommodation booked. The Mauritania restaurant
is the lowest grade which has good quality food of an
international style. The Caronia restaurant is a large
comfortable dining room, with a polished service. The
Grill class offers a variety of quality dining in the
Queens Grill, the Britannia Grill or the Princess Grill.
Spa facilities: The spa is operated by Steiner
as a concession. They offer extensive massage and beauty
treatments, at a price.
Entertainment: The grand lounge has the main
cabaret acts and lectures. There are also a number of
bands throughout the ship playing in bars and discos.
