Overview: Large floating leisure resort,
one of the largest cruise ships afloat. The centre of
the ship is dominated by the shopping arcade modeled on
the Burlington Arcade in London, and the two internal
atriums as high as 11 decks. The facilities aboard are
second to none, and include an ice rink. The size of the
ship precludes it from docking at many ports and
islands, or from going through the Panama canal.
Suitable for: Young couples and singles who
like to mingle, and want plenty to do.
Cuisine. The main dining room is on
several tiers, and serves an acceptable fare for a mass
market passenger. There are plenty of alternative dining
options - Cafe Promenade for pizzas and pastries;
Windjammer Cafe for self service meals; Island Grill for
Italian style meals; and Johnny Rockets for 1950s
hamburger bar experience.
Spa facilities: There is a vast spa, the
ShipShape Spa, with a gym, aerobics hall and treatment
rooms. The spa is a concession run by Steiner.
Entertainment: The Lyric showroom seats 1,350
people for colourful lively shows.
